WordPress 5.8+, PHP 7.4+. One API key per website, locked to that domain — every lookup and booking is attributed to the site it came from.

  • 1 — Install & activate. Plugins → Add New → Upload → activate. You land straight in the settings page.
  • 2 — Paste your key. Press “Test the connection” — it proves the key, the domain lock and whether the live diary is on, before anything goes public. A live preview shows the widget right there.
  • 3 — Type [gainsAPI] on any page — that is where the widget appears. Per page: bookings="0", theme="light", design="0".
